7.2.1 How to deal with messages

(1) Actions to take when any of the following apply

In the following cases, copy the content of the message (select and copy the text in the message dialog or take a screenshot) and contact Support Service with details of the operation you were performing when the error occurred.

  • The message “Contact Support Service” is displayed
  • The error is not resolved even after reviewing settings according to the error message
  • You do not know how to respond according to the error message

(2) Actions to take when “there is already a user with the same email address on Git” is displayed in “Details” in KNBA00305-E

If you see “there is already a user with the same email address on Git” in “Details”, the email address was used in the past and still remains in the Git log, so it cannot be reused. If you have just deleted the user who was using that email address, it will take some time for the email address information to be removed from Git. To reuse that email address, wait a while and perform the operation again. If there is a user who was using the email address in the past, follow the steps below to remove the unused email address from Git.

1. Log in to Git as the user who was using the email address in the past. Click on the avatar icon and select [Edit Profile].
2. Open the setting window from the Emails menu in the User Settings window.
3. From the Linked emails list, delete the email address used in the past.
