3.4.1.2 Groups
This section describes the following items.
Select “Group” under “User Management” in the navigation area to manage groups.
Clicking on a group displayed in the configuration area will take you to the “Group details” window.
The types of operation buttons in the group management window are as follows.

| Add | Adds a group. Becomes inactive when the checkbox is selected. |
| Delete | Deletes a group. Becomes inactive when the checkbox is not selected. |
The “global” group is registered by default. This group is a reserved group that is required for the management of Ops I, so please do not edit or delete it. When a new user is newly registered, they are registered as belonging to the “global” group by default.
(1) Adding groups
Click the “Add” button to add a new group. Click the “Add” button to open the add group window. Click the “Save” button after entering the group information to add a group.
For information on the characters allowed for each item, see “Notes on characters that can be entered”.
When a group is added, a group with the same name is automatically created on GitLab. Also, when users are assigned to a group, they will also be automatically registered as members of the group on GitLab. Please note, if you add an Ops I group, the group will not appear in the document application container until your next login. However, a group is immediately reflected in GitLab when it is added.
A description of the contents displayed in the add group window is shown below.

Assigning of roles for a group is performed in the related resources area.
Switch the contents displayed on each tab, and click the “Edit” button to display the corresponding assignment dialog box.
The tab types are as follows.

(2) Viewing group details
The group details window is used to edit detailed information of a group.
Clicking on the name of a group displayed in the list of groups in the group management window will take you to the group details window.
The tabs displayed in the related resource area in the group details window are as follows.

| Users | Displays a list of members belonging to the group. The same information is displayed as in the "Users" tab in the add group window. However, if a user has been deleted on GitLab, the Git role entry item will show No Access. |
| Related Groups | Displays a list of groups related to the group. The same information is displayed as in the "Related Groups" tab in the add group window. |
| Assigned Roles | Displays a list of roles assigned to the group. The same information is displayed as in the "Assigned Roles" tab in the add group window. |
| Effective Roles | Displays a list of enabled roles set for the group. If a role assigned to a group encompasses more than one role, all roles will be displayed in this tab. The displayed columns are as follows.

| Git Members | Displays a list of members registered in the group on GitLab associated with the group. The displayed columns are as follows.

(3) Deleting groups
Clicking the “Delete” button in the group management window while a group is selected, or in the group details window, will display a confirmation dialog box. Click “OK” to delete the group.
