7.2 [New]

The “New” function allows you to create a new configuration item.
This section describes how to create a configuration item.

①Select [CMDB]-[New] from the main menu.
②On the [Add: Config Item] screen, select the class (type) of the newly created configuration item from [List].
You can choose between classes defined by default and classes created by the user. See "(Table) Classes that can be initially selected" below for the classes that can be selected by default, and "Class management" for how to create classes.

Certificate Contract This class represents the certificates used for electronic signatures.
Client Workplace This class represents the client's computers.
Client Software Software This class represents the software used by clients.
Cluster Infrastructure This class represents cluster configurations of multiple servers.
Contract Contract This class represents contracts.
Country Location This class represents locations such as countries and regions.
Database
Software This class represents database software installed on servers.
Device (unident. devices) Infrastructure, Network Infrastructure, Workplace This class represents unspecified items.
Display Workplace This class represents displays.
Files Contract This class represents files.
IP Network Network Infrastructure This class represents IP networks.
License Contract This class represents licenses for software and other services.
Mobile Device Workplace This class represents mobile devices.
Operating System Software This class represents the OSs of computers.
Other Accessories Workplace This class represents devices such as mice and web cameras.
Phone Workplace This class represents telephones.
Printer Workplace This class represents printers.
Projector Workplace This class represents projectors.
Rack Infrastructure, location This class represents server racks.
Room Location This class represents areas within buildings, such as rooms.
Router (Hardware Firewall) Network Infrastructure This class represents routers.

SIM Card Workplace This class represents SIM cards.
Smartboard Workplace This class represents smartboards (electronic blackboards).

After selecting a class, you will be redirected to the [Edit: Config Item: New] screen, where you can enter and save the configuration item information. For information about fields for each class, see the actual screen.

Attachments No Attachments can be added to configuration items.
