7.1 [Overview]

The “Overview” function allows you to see a list of configuration items.
You can also view the details of each configuration item from the [Overview: ITSM ConfigItem] screen. The Configuration Item Details screen allows you to view, edit, link, and delete the history of each configuration item.

The list of configuration items and details of the configuration items are described in the following sections.

(1) Configuration item list

To view a list of configuration items, select [CMDB]-[Overview] from the main menu.
You can filter items by category or class. The [Overview: ITSM ConfigItem] screen displays the following information.

Configuration item information Description
CURRENT DEPLOYMENT STATE A color is displayed according to the deployment state of the configuration item (normally gray)
CURRENT INCIDENT STATE Colors are displayed according to the [CURRENT INCIDENT STATE]* of the configuration item.
Green: Operational
Yellow: Warning
Red: Incident (an incident is happening)
CLASS Class of the configuration item
NUMBER Unique number assigned to the configuration item
NAME Configuration item name
LAST CHANGED The date and time when the configuration item was last changed
*The [CURRENT INCIDENT STATE] of a configuration item is determined by the combination of incidents linked to the corresponding configuration items. Refer to the following.

*1: The incident state of the relevant configuration item can be selected between "Incident" and "Operational".

NoteNote

  • Configuration items with deployment statuses of "Retired" and "Inactive" are not listed. Use the Configuration Item Search if you wish to see the configuration items for these statuses. For information on searching for configuration items, see "[Search]".



(2) Configuration item details

Detailed information on a configuration item is displayed by clicking the desired configuration item on the [Overview: ITSM ConfigItem] screen, which is accessed by selecting [CMDB]-[Overview] from the main menu.
The following actions on the detailed information of a configuration item can be performed from the bar at the top of the screen.

Action Description
Back Returns to the configuration item list screen.
History Displays a history of actions and status changes related to configuration items.
Edit Changes the content of the configuration item. The actions available are the same as on the Create New screen.
Print Not supported. Opens a screen for printing configuration item information, but it is not available for use.
Link Opens the link management screen. This screen manages the relationship between the displayed configuration item and another configuration item.
Tree View Not supported.
Duplicate Opens the Create New Configuration Item screen based on the information of the displayed configuration item. For more information on input fields, see "[New]".
Delete Deletes the configuration item.
