7.1.4 [Delete]

The “Delete” function allows you to delete configuration items.
Select [CMDB]-[Overview] from the main menu and click the configuration item to be deleted on the [Overview: ITSM ConfigItem] screen to display detailed information about the configuration item.
Click [Delete] on the bar at the top of the screen to remove the configuration item.



NoteNote

  • Deleting a configuration item also deletes the history and any links regarding the deleted configuration item.
  • When expressing the status that a configuration item is no longer in use, the recommended method is to set the deployment status to "Inactive" or "Retired" rather than deleting the configuration item.
  • When deleting configuration item records to improve OTOBO performance, consider deleting those that will not need to be referenced for a long time, based on their deployment status.
