3.11 Dashboard
This application allows you to visually display Ops I information using graphs and other visualizations. For example, it is useful for displaying tickets that require immediate action or unassigned tickets to understand the status, and for displaying the number of tickets and workflows in progress for each assignee to understand the workload. It also supports graphical display of user-created custom data models.
Users can create and view any dashboards. They can also view dashboards provided by Ops I.
The dashboard application uses the open-source software Grafana.
For details about Grafana dashboards, see the following:
https://grafana.com/docs/grafana/v12.3/visualizations/dashboards/
(1) Overview
In the dashboard application, you can perform the following operations:
(Table) Operations that can be performed in the dashboard application
| Action | Description |
|---|---|
| View | You can view dashboards created by users and dashboards provided by Ops I*. |
| Create, edit, and delete | You can create, edit, and delete dashboards and folders. For details, see "Creating, editing, and deleting dashboards". The following operations are also available:
|
| Embed in custom applications | You can display dashboards in custom applications. For details, see "Embedding in custom applications". |
| Edit profiles | You can change the displayed language and time zone. For details, see "Configuring profiles". |
2. Screen structure of the dashboard
When you open the dashboard application, the Grafana [Home] screen opens.
(a) Main menu
You can perform the following operations from the main menu on the left side of the screen. The main menu is collapsed by default.
Only the following menu items are supported. Do not use unsupported menu items.
- Home: Grafana basic screen
- Bookmarks: List of bookmarked pages
- Starred: List of dashboards saved as favorites by the user
- Dashboards: List of dashboards
- Playlists: Function for displaying multiple dashboards in sequence
- Library panels: List of panels that can be shared across multiple dashboards
Updating a Library Panel applies the changes to the dashboards that use that panel. - Explore: Data search
This menu is displayed only for users who have been assigned the Primitive role "dash_editor".
(b) Navigation area
The content of the menu item selected in the main menu is displayed.
When you select “Dashboards” from the main menu, dashboards provided by Ops I and created dashboards are displayed in a tree view, allowing you to view the created dashboards. Dashboards are organized into folders.
The dashboards and folders that you can view are determined by the permission settings.
In addition, access to the data displayed on dashboards is restricted by group and customer segregation, so only the data that the user is permitted to view is displayed.
(3) Dashboards provided by Ops I
Ops I provides the following dashboards. You can view them in the dashboard application or embed them in custom applications. You can also export dashboards provided by Ops I, import them into a user-created folder, and customize them. When importing, you must change the UID. For details about exporting and importing dashboards, see “Importing/exporting dashboards”.
Ops I provides the following dashboards in the System folder:
- GitOps:
Shows the registration status of YAML files in Ops I. This dashboard can also be viewed from the GitOps Log tab in the system application. - IT Operations Status:
Shows the status of registered tickets and workflows in Japanese. This dashboard is located in the ITSM-manager folder. - IT Operations Overview:
Shows the status of registered tickets and workflows in English. This dashboard is located in the ITSM-manager folder.
To view “GitOps”, you must be assigned the Primitive role “gitops_logs_viewer”. “IT Operations Status” (Japanese) and “IT Operations Overview” (English) display only the information that the user is permitted to access. If there is no information that the user is permitted to access, or if the user has access rights but no applicable information exists, “No data”, “0”, or a blank is displayed.
Details of the information that can be viewed in IT Operations Overview are shown below.
