4.3.10.7 Notifications

Customer users can view Ops I notifications in the site. It is also possible to specify a page within the site as the destination when confirming a notification. For configuration examples, see “How to configure notifications”.

The language for Ops I notifications can be changed from [Account] - [Change language of notification], which is displayed by clicking [Manage Account] in [Ops I Menu]. The language selected here will be reflected as the display language for each Ops I account, but the site language is set individually for each site. For details, see “Multilingual support for sites”.

The following details how notifications are displayed.

[Notification when the theme is Lightning]

If your site theme is [Lightning] and you have enabled notifications by checking [Ops I Menu]-[Notifications], a notification icon will appear to the left of your avatar.
In the [Site Management] window, you can use [Ops I Menu] to switch display of notifications.

[Notification when the theme is not Lightning]

If your site is not themed [Lightning], add an [OpsI Notification] widget for displaying notifications to any location, page, or post where the widget can be placed.

[How to configure notifications]

You can display notifications on your site by creating a Notification YAML definition. If you want to change the destination page when a customer clicks the notification icon, create a separate Notification YAML definition for each customer.
In the YAML definition, configure the customer and destination as follows:

  • How to configure the customer:
Set the customer as the field used to evaluate conditions in "conditions.- resource", and determine whether it matches the customer ID of the customer you want to target. You can access field information by using ".GetValue", but the method for specifying fields differs depending on whether the notification event condition is a schedule or a workflow.
    • If event.resource is schedule: .Context.workflow.customer
    • If event.resource is workflow: .Context.customer
  • How to configure the destination: Configure by using "notifications.-message.referTo".
Example: If the notification event is a workflow, define it as follows so that, when Customer A (Customer ID: 1) clicks the notification icon, the user is redirected to "/site-customer1".

<Definition example>

conditions:
 - resource: "{{ .GetValue ".Context.customer" }}"
    eq: 1
…
notifications:
  - message:
      …
      referTo: https://portal.{{.System.domain}}/site-customer1

For details about the Notification YAML definition, see “Notification, Notifier”.
