  5. Set up the data collection tool.
For details about the setup for the data collection tool, see 3.6 Setting up the data collection tool.
  6. Configure the SSL server certificate.
When SSL communication is used, data transmitted between a Web browser and JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant is encrypted. Encryption can prevent the interception of sensitive data, such as passwords.
To use SSL communication, an SSL server certificate is required. By default, the self-signed certificate generated during installation is used. In the default self-signed certificate, only JP is specified as the country name. If you use a self-signed certificate other than the default self-signed certificate, see 3.7 Configuring the SSL server certificate.
Since the self-signed certificate was not issued by a CA (Certificate Authority), a security warning message is displayed when you access the self-signed certificate from a Web browser for the first time. Also, the self-signed certificate is valid until December 31, 2036.
  7. Specify the settings for passing through a firewall.
When the JP1/AJS3 - Manager host or JP1/AJS2 - Manager host uses an embedded database or HiRDB and a firewall is set up, you must specify settings in JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant for passing through the firewall. For details about the settings, see 3.8 Settings for passing through a firewall.
  8. Start the application server.
From the Windows Control Panel, choose Administrative Tools and Services, and then start the following service:
    JP1/AJS3 WOA Web Application Server
Using the event viewer, check that the KAVI3000-I message was output to the application log and the service was started. Note that the time until the service starts can vary from a few seconds to around a minute, depending on the performance of the host.
  9. Start the HTTP server.
From the Windows Control Panel, choose Administrative Tools and Services, and then start the following service:
    JP1/AJS3 WOA HTTP Server
