This section explains how to install JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant.

(1) Preparations necessary before installation

Before installing JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant, installation of JP1/Base is required.

For details on installing JP1/Base, see the manual Job Management Partner 1/Base User's Guide.

(2) Installation procedures

To install JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant:

  1. As a user who belongs to the Administrators group, log on the host on which you wish to install JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant.
  2. Terminate all running programs.
    Terminate any running programs from the existing JP1 series.
  3. Insert the JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant CD-ROM.
    The Hitachi integrated installer window appears.
  4. Enter information where necessary to perform installation by following the instructions displayed.
    The following information is configured during installation:
    • User information
      Input such information as your user name.
    • Installation folder
      Specify the directory in which JP1/AJS3 - Web Operation Assistant is to be installed.
    • Program folder
      Specify the program menu name.
  5. Once installation finishes, restart the host.
