2. Installation and Setup

This chapter describes the procedure for installing the programs that are required when using Eclipse to develop J2EE applications, the procedure for setting up the debug environment, and the procedure for setting up Eclipse. This chapter also describes the procedures to uninstall the programs and unset up Eclipse and the debug environment.

Also, this chapter focuses on the setup procedure when using the Development Environment Instant Setup functionality and Eclipse setup functionality. For details on the procedure when not using this functionality, see Appendix B. Procedure for Setting the Debug Environment without Using the Development Environment Instant Setup Functionality and Eclipse Setup Functionality.
