Notes on the descriptions in this manual

Folder and path abbreviations: In this manual, the expressions in the folders/directories and path notations ("\" or "/") change depending on the display of IDE or Java commands. Change the terms in the folders/directories and the path notations according to the environment used.

Notations of the path when using the WOW64 environment: With the WOW64 environment, system-drive:\Program Files(x86)\Hitachi\Cosminexus is the default installation directory. Change the terms in the folders/directories and the path notations according to the environment used.

Support related to Eclipse: Only the Developer-provided Eclipse plug-in functionality is supported. For details on how to use Eclipse and how to handle errors displayed by Eclipse, investigate and take countermeasures.

Notation of Windows menu names

When describing Window menus, this manual assumes that you are using either of the following OSs:

Windows 7 or Windows XP

In Windows 8, the Start menu is not displayed, so select the menu from the Start screen that is displayed in the lower left corner of the window.
