3.3.3 Control Mode page

The Control Mode page allows you to set up the remote control mode of the controller. When the mode defined in this page does not agree with the mode defined for the agent, the system adjusts the modes according to certain conditions when establishing the connection. For details on the remote control mode, see 3.1 Remote control mode.

The Control Mode page is shown below.

Organization of this subsection
(1) Remote control mode

(1) Remote control mode

View
Enables to only view the agent screen.

Shared
Enables operation of the agent from both the controller and agent. The controller user can view the agent screen and provide operation support to the agent (e.g. correcting the operation of the agent user).

Exclusive
Enables the remote control of the agent, while suppressing operations from the agent. The controller must be in the exclusive mode when it performs operations that make it necessary that no operations be implemented from the agent, e.g., when the controller user is trying to modify the machine environment of the agent.
When the controller is in the exclusive mode, the agent takes the view mode, and cannot perform most keyboard or mouse operations. (Some keys are enabled.)
