5.1.5 Creating system configuration information in the System Configuration window

To define a host in the System Configuration window:

1. Make the System Configuration window the active window, and click the position in the hierarchy where you want to create a host.

   You can now create a host under the selected hierarchical level.

2. From the File menu, select Create Host.

   The Create Host dialog box appears.

   Specify the host

   Specify a host name or IP address.

   For details about how to specify host names, see 5.1.2 Assigning host names in JP1/IT Desktop Management 2.

   Type

   Select Management relay server, Relay system, or Agent as the host type. If you do not select an option, Agent is set by default.

   Comment

   Enter a comment using a maximum of 64 single-byte characters.

3. After entering the settings, click Exit.

   The host is defined. You can add further hosts by clicking Add.
