1.6 Bookmarks window

The Bookmarks window displays the bookmarks tree. By registering reports as bookmark destinations, you can display them with less effort the next time. In addition, you can edit combination bookmarks to specify the display method for combination reports. To display this window, in the navigation frame in any PFM - Web Console window, choose the Bookmarks tab.

The following describes the displayed items:

Menu bar frame

Displays a menu that is common to all windows.

For details, see the description of the menu bar frame in 1.3 Main window.

Navigation frame

Displays the bookmarks tree.

Except for the following items, the display items are the same as the items in the navigation frame of the Main window. For details, see 1.3 Main window.

Text box

Use this text box to filter bookmarks or combination bookmarks by keywords. You cannot filter them by registered reports or baselines. Specify a character string of 1 to 1,024 characters to filter the bookmarks that will be displayed. To perform a multi-keyword search by using AND, delimit keywords by using a single-byte space, a two-byte space, or a tab. A delimiter is counted as one word. The maximum number of words that can be entered as filtering keywords is 100.

Filter button

Filters bookmarks or combination bookmarks by using the string specified in the text box.

Clear button

Clears the filtering status and the filtering condition.

Bookmarks tree

The root is Bookmarks. At each subsequent level, bookmark folders, bookmarks, and combination bookmarks are displayed in ascending order. Under a bookmark, the registered reports are displayed in ascending order. Under a combination bookmark, the registered reports and the baselines are displayed in ascending order.

Icons

An icon is displayed to the left of each component of the bookmarks tree. For details about icons, see Table 1-10 Configuration component icons and their meaning.

These icons have the following meanings:

: Indicates the root.
: Indicates a bookmark folder.
: Indicates a bookmark.
: Indicates a combination bookmark.
: Indicates a registered report. The icon depends on the PFM - Agent or PFM - RM in use.
: Indicates a baseline.

Method frame

Displays the operations that can be executed on the bookmarks tree. The operation items that are displayed depend on the selected object. Note that if the initialization file (config.xml), editReportByOrdinaryUser is set to off and you log in with an account that has general user permissions only, Delete, New Folder, Rename, and Edit are not displayed. For details about the initialization file (config.xml), see Initialization file (config.xml).

Delete

Deletes the selected bookmark folder, bookmark, combination bookmark, registered report, or baseline. This item appears when you select an object below Bookmarks in the navigation frame. Choosing this item displays a message box for confirming the deletion.

When you select a bookmark folder, a bookmark, or a combination bookmark for deletion, all the bookmarks, registered reports, and baselines under the selected object are deleted. When you delete all the registered reports for a bookmark (including cases when only the baselines for combination bookmarks are left), the bookmark itself is automatically deleted.

Display Reports

Displays the selected registered report, bookmark, or combination bookmark. If you select a registered report or a bookmark, the View Report window opens. If you select a combination bookmark, the Combination report window opens. For details about the View Report window, see 1.4.5 View Report window. For details about the Combination report window, see 1.4.7 Combination Report window.

New Folder

Creates a new bookmark folder under the selected object. This item is displayed when Bookmarks or a bookmark folder under Bookmarks is selected in the navigation frame.

Choosing this item displays the New Folder window.

Properties

Displays the properties of the selected bookmark. This item is displayed when a bookmark or a combination bookmark is selected in the navigation frame.

Choosing this item displays the Properties window.

Rename

Changes the name of the selected bookmark folder or bookmark. This item is displayed when a bookmark folder, a bookmark, a combination bookmark, or a baseline is selected in the navigation frame.

Choosing this item displays the Rename window.

Edit

Changes the definition of the selected combination bookmark. This item is displayed when a combination bookmark is selected in the navigation frame. Choosing this item displays the Edit window for combination bookmarks in the information frame.

Tiling Display

Displays side-by-side (tiling display) graphs for historical reports under the selected bookmark folder.

Selecting an item displays the Tiling Display window in the information frame.

Information frame

Displays the results of the operation selected in the method frame on the object selected in the navigation frame.
