1.6.6 Tiling Display window

The Tiling Display window displays, side by side, the graphs for historical reports managed by the selected bookmark.

However, a tiling display cannot display the following reports:

This window is displayed if, in the Bookmarks window, a bookmark folder or bookmark is selected and, in the method frame, the Tiling Display method is selected.

The following figure shows the Tiling Display window.

Figure 1‒104: Tiling Display window

[Figure]

The following describes the displayed items:

Refresh

Refreshes the tiling display in the information frame. It also refreshes the date displayed next to Refresh date.

Save Layout

Saves the layout information of the graphs. This menu is not displayed in the sort mode (When Arrange tile order is selected).

The following layout information is saved:

  • The number of columns set in the Display layout area of the Tiling Display Settings window

  • The positions of the graphs moved in the sort mode

Clicking this menu displays a dialog box that confirms you really want to save the layout. Clicking the OK button saves the layout information.

If you click the Cancel button in the confirmation dialog box, processing to save the layout will stop.

Note

If you delete or add a report, the saved layout information is disabled, and then the display returns to the default layout (order: in the order of graph names, number of columns: three).

Display Settings

Switches the display in the information frame to the Tiling Display Settings window. This menu is not displayed in the sort mode.

In the Tiling Display Settings window, you can set the display period for the report. For details about the Tiling Display Settings window, see 1.6.6(1) Tiling Display Settings window.

Arrange tile order

Selecting this check box switches to the sort mode, in which you can change the display position of a graph.

Clearing this check box switches to the display mode.

By default, this check box is cleared (display mode).

After you switch to the sort mode, grids are displayed, which you can select for the destination of a graph. To move a graph, click the graph you want to move and then the grid for the destination.

Figure 1‒105: Arranging graphs in the sort mode

[Figure]

If you want to save the arrangement of a graph after it is moved, clear the Arrange tile order check box to switch to the display mode, and then click Save Layout.

Refresh date

Displays the refresh date of the tiling display. Clicking the Refresh button refreshes the tiling display and the refresh date.

You can specify the display format of the date and time in the initialization file (config.xml). For details about the date-and-time display format, see the chapter that explains installation and setup in the JP1/Performance Management Planning and Configuration Guide.

Tiling Display area

Displays graphs for historical reports side by side. By default, graphs are displayed in alphabetical order of their names from left to right.

In the sort mode (when Arrange tile order is selected), the grid indicating the destination is displayed. In the display mode, clicking a graph separately displays the report.

You can change the layout of the graphs by using the following methods:

  • Moving the positions of the graphs

Select Arrange tile order, switch to the sort mode, and then move the positions.

  • Changing the number of columns

In the Display layout area of the Tiling Display Settings window, which is launched by clicking the Display Settings menu, specify the number of graphs that can be displayed in rows in the range from 2 to 4.

The maximum number of graphs in the tiling display is 50 by default. If the number of the graphs is more than the maximum number, a notification message is sent.

You can change this maximum number in maxTileReports in the initialization file (config.xml). Note that if the maximum number is set to 50 or more, the workload of the server increases. For details about the initialization file (config.xml), see Initialization file (config.xml).

Note

When the report series paging functionality is enabled, a graph field might be divided into multiple pages. If you want to tile these reports, the graphs on the first page are tiled.

For details about how to set the report series paging functionality and items that can be set, see the chapter that explains installation and setup of Performance Management in the JP1/Performance Management Planning and Configuration Guide.
