JP1 Version 12 JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Operator's Guide

16.2 Dashboard screen

In the Dashboard screen, you can perform tasks such as monitoring units and setting hold attributes. Clicking the List tab displays the List screen.

You can also open the Dashboard screen from the Integrated Operation Viewer window of JP1/IM2.

The following figure shows the Dashboard screen.

Figure 16‒2: Dashboard screen

[Figure]

If automatic refresh is enabled, the Dashboard screen is refreshed every 10 minutes, starting from the time that automatic refresh is enabled. The automatic refresh interval can be changed in the Setting dialog box.

The Dashboard screen displays as many monitoring-target display areas as the number of monitoring targets you have specified. You can set a monitoring target in the Set Monitoring Targets dialog box, which is opened by clicking the Add Targets button. For details about the Set Monitoring Targets dialog box, see 16.8 Set Monitoring Targets dialog box.

Note that you can set a maximum of five monitoring targets by default. By editing the environment settings file (ajs3web.conf), you can change the maximum number of monitoring targets that can be set. For details about the environment settings file (ajs3web.conf) in Windows, see 3.4.3 Details on the settings in the environment-settings file (ajs3web.conf) in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide. For details about the environment settings file (ajs3web.conf) in Linux, see 13.3.3 Details on settings in the environment-settings file (ajs3web.conf) in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide.

Monitoring-target display area

The Monitoring-target display area consists of two main areas: the Status of Root Jobnet area and the Detail Information area. You can collapse the display of the Status of Root Jobnet and Detail Information areas, and specify in the Setting dialog box the items to be displayed in each of these areas when it is collapsed.

The following figure shows how the Monitoring-target display area appears when the Status of Root Jobnet and Detail Information areas are collapsed.

[Figure]

Status of Root Jobnet area

In this area, you can check the number of monitored units and the execution progress and status of each monitored unit on the day specified for Day for Monitor in the Set Monitoring Targets dialog box.

The Status of Root Jobnet area displays the following two types of information:

  • Execution progress and the number of units by status for a registered root jobnet

When you click one of the root jobnet status icons, information about only the selected root jobnet is displayed in the Detail Information area.

  • Execution progress and status of each monitored unit (jobnets, including root jobnets, and jobs)

When you click one of the unit status icons, information about only the selected unit is displayed in the Detail Information area.

Detail Information area

In this area, you can view the execution status of monitored units. You can also change the hold attributes of monitored units. The start date and time and end date and time are values calculated from an execution simulation#.

#

If a jobnet has never been executed, its execution is simulated with the time required for execution set to 1,200 seconds.

In this area, you can open the List tab or the Chart tab. The List tab displays execution statuses in a list format, and the Chart tab displays an execution schedule.

List tab

Displays the status, start time, and other information about each unit in a list format.

If you click one of the root jobnet status icons or unit status icons in the Status of Root Jobnet area, information about only the selected unit is displayed in this tab.

The following figure shows the List tab.

Figure 16‒4: List tab

[Figure]

You can manipulate a unit by selecting it in the list and clicking one of the buttons above the list. The following table describes the operations that can be performed by using these buttons.

If the operation restriction function of the Web GUI is enabled, these buttons appear only if the logged-in user is a user who is permitted to perform the corresponding operations.

Chart tab

Displays the execution schedule for the root jobnets.

The execution schedule is displayed in the range of 24 hours from the base time. If a single monitoring target contains root jobnets with different base times, you can select a base time in the Base time drop-down list. In this case, the schedule for 24 hours from the selected base time is displayed. Periods in which monitoring for each root jobnet is not scheduled are gray.

If you click one of the root jobnet status icons in the Status of Root Jobnet area, information about only the selected root jobnet is displayed in this tab.

Cautionary notes
  • If the Chart tab is displayed in the Detail Information area, you cannot select a unit status icon.

  • If you open the Chart tab when the List tab displays information that was filtered by selecting a unit status icon, selection of the unit status icon is canceled.

  • If job groups with different base times are being monitored, a warning icon appears at the upper left corner of the Monitoring-target display area each time a base time is exceeded before the Dashboard screen is refreshed. Clicking this icon displays the KNAK2409-Q message. Note that you can use the Setting dialog box to specify how the dates on which to perform monitoring are updated when the base time is exceeded while the Dashboard screen is displayed. You can select either for a confirmation message to appear asking the user whether to update the dates or for the dates to be immediately updated without displaying a confirmation message.

  • The Dashboard screen can be opened from JP1/IM2 only if the relevant unit or generation exists.

  • If the full name of the target unit contains many multibyte characters, Internet Explorer might not be able to open the Dashboard screen from JP1/IM2 because the length of the URL might exceed the browser's upper limit. If Internet Explorer cannot open the Dashboard screen, try using Firefox or Google Chrome. If you want to use Firefox or Google Chrome, you will need to set Firefox or Google Chrome as the default browser.

  • If, for a certain length of time, no operations are performed in the Dashboard screen and the Dashboard screen is not refreshed, the session times out. If the session times out, an error message appears, and the web browser closes. The session timeout period for the Web GUI can be specified by using the environment setting file (ajs3web.conf). The default is 15 minutes.

  • In Firefox or Google Chrome, the following operations or events that usually cause the web browser to close, instead cause the Login screen being displayed:

    - Clicking the Log Out button or the Close button on the Monitor screen.

    - An error that usually causes the web browser to close (such as an invalid session error).

  • The Login screen might not be displayed if an error occurs during the startup of the Dashboard screen. If the Login screen is not displayed, manually close the web browser

  • With the Setting dialog box, you can specify the settings that are convenient for long-time use. By specifying these settings, the Dashboard screen can be reloaded without displaying a confirmation message. To maintain the same layout before and after reloading the window, specify the following settings:

    • In the Setting dialog box, specify Dashboard for Initial display screen.

    • In the Setting dialog box, under the settings that determine whether the areas displayed in the Dashboard screen are collapsed or expanded initially, specify the states in which the screen is used for long-time monitoring.

    • For a web browser in which to display Web Console, hide the scroll bars or reset their sliders to the initial positions.

    • In the Setting dialog box, select Dashboard > Operation to update the Day for Monitor when the Base time is exceeded > Update without displaying message.
