Job Management Partner 1 Version 10 Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Operation Administration Guide

1.13.1 Notes on backup and restoration

When you back up and restore data in a JP1/AO system, some of the detailed task information (step lists and progress information) is lost, and some task statuses are changed. Note that the progress and status of steps for restored tasks and debug tasks are not displayed in the Task Monitor view.

Depending on the status when a task and debug task are backed up, the status after restoration is changed. For details about statuses of tasks and debug tasks after restoration, see restoresystem (restoring the JP1/AO system) in the manual Job Management Partner 1/Automatic Operation GUI, Command, and API Reference.

Tasks and debug tasks in Waiting or Holding status when data was backed up enter Canceled status if they are restored. Note that you can re-register tasks in Waiting or Holding status (scheduled or recurring tasks) as another task with the same settings by using the listtasks and submittask commands.

To re-register a task, execute the listtasks command before the backup procedure, and output detailed task information. After restoration, use the submittask command to re-register detailed task information you output here in a batch. By doing so, you can re-register the task with the same settings as another task.

Note that you cannot redo tasks after restoration by selecting Retry the Task From the Failed Step or Retry the Task From the Step After the Failed Step in the Tasks view.
