6.1.2 Components of the Chat window

The figure below shows the Chat window used for chatting.

  1. Chat view
    Displays messages that have been sent or received using the chat function.
  2. User list box
    Lists the users who are connected to the chat server. Chat messages are only sent to the users who selected the check box in this list. By default, all the users will be recipients (the check box is selected).
  3. Message input box
    Enter the message to be sent, within 512 bytes.
    A history of the messages you entered is kept after the Chat window starts. Therefore, you can select past messages from the pull-down list. This history is cleared when you exit the Chat window.
  4. Send Message button
    Sends the message entered in the message input box.
