Job Management Partner 1/Remote Control Description and Operator's Guide
This subsection describes points to remember when using the file transmission facility.
- File transmission is not available in the following situations:
- When the agent is not connected in the Remote Control window
- When the controller is in the view mode
- Before the agent is logged on
- If the agent is not configured to allow file transmission, you cannot transfer files with it. However, if the agent modifies the property settings to prohibit file transmission when it is being operated through the File Transfer window, you can continue to operate the agent's files until the remote control connection is severed.
For details on file transmission permission by the agent, see 3.4.6 File transmission settings.
- For an agent of version 05-10, you cannot create, delete, rename, or transfer the agent's folders or files (although you can copy them).
- During file transmission via a low-speed line, refrain from remote control operations in the Remote Control window, so as to prevent a memory shortage.
- If a connection error occurs during file transmission, the system may not be able to detect the disconnection. In this case, the controller may fail to reconnect for file transmission. To avoid such situations, use the remote control facility and cancel the Progress of File Transfer dialog box on the agent.
- Up to 260 (half-width) characters can be specified for the path of files that are transferred.
