You can select whether to allow file transmission (accept the controller's instruction to send and/or receive files). In the Remote Control Agent - Properties dialog box, the File Transfer page serves as this dialog box.

- Disable file transmission between controller and agent
- Rejects file transmission requests from the controller.
- Enable file transmission between controller and agent
- Accepts file transmission requests from the controller. This option is selected by default.
- Port number
- Specify the number of the port to be used by the file transmission functionality as an integer from 5001 to 65535. Make sure the port number does not coincide with the numbers used by other programs. The default port number is 30004.
- File access permission
- Specify access permission for the files and folders from the controller.
- Read
Select this check box to permit files and folders to be read from the controller. By default, this check box is selected.
- Write
Select this check box to permit files and folders to be written to from the controller. By default, this check box is selected.
If the agent runs on Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows NT 4.0 and the Windows access permission is set to read only, selecting this check box does not allow the controller to write to folders or files.
- The table below shows how each Read and Write setting combination controls whether to permit or prohibit file controller operations.

- The file name, size, update date, and attributes are displayed in the File Transfer window.
- File access logs
- Specify in the File Transfer window whether to output logs when the controller uses files and folders of the agent. Select the Output check box to output file access logs. By default, the check box is not selected.
- Click the Details button to display the Logging dialog box, where you can specify the type of logs to be output and the output format.
- The following explains the settings in the Logging dialog box.

In the Logging dialog box, specify information about file access logs to be output.

- Log all data items
- Select this option to output all logging items that can be selected in Select the items to log. This option is selected by default.
- Select the items to log
- Select this option when you want to output only selected items as file access logs. The items you select from the following will be output. By default, Connection/disconnect, Forwarded files, and Deleted files are selected.

- Created folders
- Rename
- Attribute changes
- If you do not specify any options, file access logs will not be output.
- Log output level
- Set information about file access logs. Neither check box is selected by default:
- Do not output warning information
Select this check box to prevent warning information from being output to the log.
- Do not output error information
Select this check box to prevent error information from being output to the log.
- Log output environment
- Set the format for the log output, and the amount of information that can be output to file access logs.
- Output format
- Select the log output format from the following. The default is CSV Format.

- Maximum lines in a log file
- Specify the maximum number of lines in a log file as an integer from 0 to 9,999. The default is 500 lines. If you specify 0, logs will not be output.
- Generations to be saved
- Specify the number of log generations to be saved as an integer from 0 to 99. The value specified here will form the last 2 digits of the log file name, indicating the generation number. The default is 0 (no generation management).
