Job Management Partner 1/Remote Control Description and Operator's Guide
The File Transfer window allows you not only to transfer files but also perform the following operations on the folder or file on the local system or connected agent. However, you cannot perform these operations unless you have access permission for the folder or file:
- Create a folder
- Delete a folder or file
- Change attributes of the folder or file
- Rename a folder or file
These operations are not available for agents of version 05-10. Note that you cannot perform any operations unless you have the access right to the folder or file you want to operate.
- Organization of this subsection
- (1) Creating a folder
- (2) Deleting a folder or file
- (3) Changing attributes of folders and files
- (4) Renaming a folder or file
(1) Creating a folder
You can create a new folder on the controller or on the agent.
Perform the following steps:
- Select the location (drive or folder) in which you want to create a new folder.
- From the File menu, choose New and then Folder.
The system adds a new folder with a temporary name (e.g., new folder) to the list view, and makes it ready to enter the folder name.
- Enter the folder name.
A new folder is created with the specified name.
(2) Deleting a folder or file
You can delete a folder or file on the controller or agent. If the system Recycle Bin is available, the folder or file you want to delete will be moved to the bin. If no Recycle Bin is available, the folder will be deleted from the system.
Perform the following steps:
- Select the folder or file you want to delete.
- Press the Delete key on the keyboard. (Alternatively, from the File menu, choose Delete.)
A dialog box appears, asking you whether the file should be deleted (moved to the Recycle Bin).
If you want to delete the file from the system directly, rather than moving it to the Recycle Bin, perform the above operation while holding down the Shift key.
- Choose Yes or Delete All.
The selected folder or file is deleted (moved to the Recycle Bin). On the controller, a dialog box appears, showing the deletion status.
(3) Changing attributes of folders and files
You can change attributes of folders and files in the File Transfer window.
To change attributes:
- Select the file or folder whose attributes you want to change.
You can select multiple files or folders.
- Choose File and then Properties.
The Properties dialog box appears.

(4) Renaming a folder or file
You can rename folders and files on the controller or on the agent.
To rename a folder or file on the controller or agent:

- Click the name section again. (Alternatively, from the File menu, choose Rename.)
The icon of the folder or file takes the state in which you can change its name.
- Enter a new name.
The folder or file is renamed.
