Organization of this subsection
(1) Specify port number
(2) Specify reconnection
(3) Disconnect from the agent automatically

(1) Specify port number

Specify the number of the port to be used for connecting to the agent. Make sure this port number does not coincide with the ports used by other programs. The default port number is 30003.

(2) Specify reconnection

Perform retry upon connection failure
Specify whether the system should attempt to reconnect if the first attempt to connect to the agent times out. Select this check box to retry.
Maximum retry count
Specify the number of retry attempts to be performed if an attempt to connect to the agent fails. Enter an integer from 1 to 99. The default is 5 attempts.
Retry interval
Specify the interval (minutes) at which retries are performed when an attempt to connect to the agent fails. Enter an integer from 0 to 60. The default is 1 minute.

Reconnect after the agent rebooted
Specify whether to reconnect after the agent is rebooted. Select this check box to reconnect.
To reconnect to the agent upon reboot, you need to configure the agent to automatically start Remote Control Agent upon startup. For details on the automatic startup, see 3.4.1 Start options.
When the agent is rebooted, reconnect after
Specify the amount of time (minutes) that must pass for reconnection to start after the agent is rebooted. Enter an integer from 1 to 60. The default is 5 minutes.

(3) Disconnect from the agent automatically

When operations on Remote Control Manager stop, or when it enters the inactive state, you can specify whether to sever the connection automatically. Select this check box to disconnect from the agent automatically.

You can select one of the following options to specify when automatic disconnection is to be performed. You can also specify a value from 1 to 60 (minutes) as the amount of time until disconnection. The default is 5 minutes.

When the time-out elapsed
The system disconnects the agent when a specified period of time elapses since the establishment of the connection.

If the agent is not manipulated during the time-out
The system disconnects the agent if no operation is made on the agent (that is, if no data is sent) for a specified period of time.

If the Remote Control window is inactive during the time-out
The system disconnects the agent when a specified period of time elapses since the Remote Control Manager's windows are deactivated or iconized.
