8.4.6 Displaying the execution status of all-lower-clients jobs

For a job with all lower clients specified, All lower clients and the relay manager specified at all lower clients are displayed under the job name.

The following explains the job execution status at the relay manager that is displayed under Result:

Waiting for transmission
The all-lower-clients job was transmitted from the central manager to the relay manager. The relay manager is now creating the job for the clients under its management.

Running
The relay manager is executing the job for the clients under its management.

Finished
The relay manager has finished transmitting the job to all the clients under its management.

The following explains the procedures for displaying the execution results of the job that the relay manager executes at each client.

(1) Displaying the execution status for each client

To display the execution status for each client, in the Job Status window, choose View and then Clients of ID or All-Lower-Clients Jobs.

Under the relay manager's folder, the clients for which the relay manager executed the job are displayed. If you select one of these clients, the job execution result at that client is displayed in the right-hand section. For the types of execution status that will be displayed, see 8.4.3(3)(a) Types of job execution status.

(2) Displaying the number of clients for which the job was executed

The following shows the procedure for checking the number of clients for which the relay manager executed the job.

(a) Job execution status displayed for each relay manager

In the Job Status window, if you did not choose Clients of ID or All-Lower-Clients Jobs from the View menu, the current display shows the job execution status for each relay manager.

To check the number of clients for which the job was executed, use the following procedure.

To check the number of clients:

  1. In the Job Status window, double-click the job details (or choose View and then Display Job Detailed Information).
    The Detailed Information dialog box is displayed.

  2. Choose Client Results.
    The Client Results dialog box is displayed.

    The number of clients is displayed for each job execution status. Others indicates the number of clients for which an execution result has not been reported.
(b) Job execution status displayed for each client

In the Job Status window, if you chose Clients of ID or All-Lower-Clients Jobs from the View menu, the current display shows the job execution status for each client. To check the number of clients for which the job was executed, click All lower clients in the tree at the left and check the numbers displayed in the Finished/Error/Rejected/Total column.

The [Relay]: Finished/Error/Rejected/Total column displays the numbers of jobs whose execution results were reported to the relay manager.

The Finished/Error/Rejected/Total column displays the total numbers of jobs executed on the clients.

(3) Note on checking the execution status of an all-lower-clients job

You cannot display the execution status of an all-lower-clients job at the managing server if a communication error occurred between the relay manager and the client.
