(1) Display items
The Job Status window displays the following information:
Figure 8-23 Job Status window
![[Figure]](FIGURE/JOB0260.GIF)
- Status
- Displays the execution status of the current job as a percentage. If there is one relay system between the managing server and the client, 50% is displayed when the job is transferred to the relay system. If there is more than one relay system between them, the value displayed is proportional to the number of relay systems.
- A job's execution status changes as follows:
- 0%
- The job has been created on the managing server, but it has not been transferred yet.
- 20%
- The managing server has begun transferring the job. For a split-distribution job, the display is updated in small increments reflecting the progress of split distribution.
- 50%
- The job has been transferred to the relay system. This value is not displayed if no relay system is used. For a split distribution job, if the check box for Report the split package distribution execution status of the lower system to the higher system. is selected on the Report To Higher System page in the setup of the relay system, the display gradually changes according to the progress of the split distribution.
- 70%
- The job has been transferred to clients and is waiting to be executed. This value is not displayed if the job is to be executed immediately upon being transferred to the client systems.
- 100%
- Job processing has been completed.
- Result
- Displays the current job status. For details about the job execution status, see (3)(a) Types of job execution status below.
- Finished/Error/Rejected/Total
- Displays the numbers of completed jobs, error jobs, rejected jobs, and the total number of jobs.
- Progress
- Displays the job route and how much of the job has been executed so far. A blue route indicates completed processing, and a black route indicates unfinished processing.
- Scheduled date/time
- Displays the date and time at which the job is scheduled to be executed.
- Execution time limit
- Displays the job's execution time limit.
- Execution date/time
- Displays the date and time at which the job was executed.
- Scheduled installation date/time
- Displays the date and time at which the package is scheduled to be installed.
Jobs are show in colors that indicate the job execution status:
- Green
- Job that terminated normally.
- White
- Job that is executing or that has not started executing because the client is not active.
- Yellow
- Job waiting for a user to log onto the client system, job specified to be installed during system startup and currently waiting for installation, or job waiting to be collected during remote collection.
- Light gray
- Send package, allow client to choose job whose installation was rejected by the client system.
- Dark gray
- Job whose execution has been placed on hold.
- Red
- Job whose execution terminated with an error.
- Magenta
- Job in which a communication error occurred during file transfer. However, an error during communication between a relay managing the ID and a client is not displayed in this color.
- Communication errors are reported for the following jobs only:
- Install package
- Send package, allow client to choose
- Transfer package to relay system
- Transfer registry collection definition
- Get system information from client
- Acquire collected files from relay system
- Get system configuration information
- Hold report
- Hold-report release
- Report message
- Set the software monitoring policy
- To detect jobs in which a communication error occurred, you set the configuration appropriately during setup on the managing server side. For the setup method, see 4.2 Setting up the server and 5. Setting Up JP1/Software Distribution Client (relay system) in the manual Setup Guide.
- Olive
- Job being deleted at a relay manager/system or client. The default is that this color is not used.
- For details about how to display jobs being deleted, see 8.4.4(6) Displaying jobs being deleted.
If one job has more than one execution status, the color indicating the worst status is displayed. For example, if a job executed to install several packages on remote clients resulted in three statuses, such as normal termination, being executed, and error, depending on the package, then red is used for this job.
(3) Job execution status
This section explains how to interpret the job progress, colors, and status transitions that are displayed in the Job Status window.
For details about how to check the transition status for ID group jobs, see 8.4.5 Displaying the execution status of ID group jobs. For details about how to check the transition status of all-lower-clients jobs, see 8.4.6 Displaying the execution status of all-lower-clients jobs.
The following table shows the types of job execution status that are displayed in the Job Status window.
Table 8-3 Types of job execution status
| Job execution status |

White |
Job was created, but has been placed on transfer-wait status on the managing server. |
| Executing |
20% to 70% |
White |
Job is being transferred to client systems or is being executed. |
| Startup failure#1 |
0% to 50% |

Attempt was made to transfer the job, but a relay system or client has not been started or client is not resident. |
| Suspended |
20% to 70% |
Dark gray |
Job execution was suspended on instruction. |
| Resumed |

| Installation rejected |
70% |
Light gray |
For an installation job by the client user, the client system's Package Setup Manager deleted the package-installation information. |
| Completed#2 |

Magenta |
A communication error occurred while file was being transferred. |
| Being deleted |
None |
Olive |
The job is being deleted by the relay manager/system or the client. |
- #1
- If Break down the reason for a starting failure was selected, the following are displayed:
- If startup failed because JP1/Software Distribution was not running: Startup failure (JP1/Software Distribution not running)
- If startup failed because the client's power was off: Startup failure (power off)
- If startup failed for any other reason (e.g., network error): Startup failure
- If the packet for checking the startup was lost, Startup failure (power off) is displayed.
- #2
- If the job type is Install package, the following is displayed:
- If the package has been installed: Completed
- If the package has been distributed but not installed: Completed (already distributed)
The job execution status changes according to the progress of the job. Figure 8-24 shows the job execution status transitions.
