2.3 Operating a performance monitoring system

After deciding on the items to be monitored and designing the performance monitoring system, use Performance Management to monitor the operation.

This section describes an example of basic performance monitoring, using the following general procedure:

1. Start the Performance Management service.
2. Use a browser to log on to PFM - Web Console.
3. Create a user account.
4. Create agent levels for monitoring.
5. Display a report.
6. Use an alarm to monitor.
7. Display an event.
