E.2 Starting tools from the Start Tools menu
To start a tool from the Remote Install Manager menu:
-
Select a host in the System Configuration window or Destination window, or in the Find dialog box.
You can only start a tool when a host is selected. If you select an ID group or host group together with a host, the tool cannot be started for the ID group or host group. If you start a tool with multiple hosts selected, the tool starts for each of the selected hosts. For example, if you start a tool with 10 hosts selected, the same tool starts 10 times. Note that starting a tool with a large number of hosts selected uses a large amount of memory and might cause the system to become unstable.
-
From the Options menu or the right-click menu, select Start Tools.
In the Find dialog box, Start Tools only appears in the right-click menu.
