10.4.4 Displaying the job status

You can display the status for each hierarchy in the window, or display all the jobs or job details at the same time. Displaying the jobs or job details at the same time helps you to efficiently view the status across multiple folders. The following section describes each display option listed below:

For details about how to display the status of an ID group job, see 10.4.5 Checking the status of an ID group job.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Displaying information in each hierarchy

To display information in the selected hierarchy:

  1. Select View and then Specified Information Only in the Job Status window.

  2. Select a folder hierarchy in which you want to display the information.

    The information in the selected folder hierarchy is displayed.

(2) Displaying all the jobs under a folder hierarchy

To display all the jobs under a selected folder hierarchy:

  1. Select View and then All Jobs in the Job Status window.

  2. Select a folder hierarchy in which you want to display the information.

    All the jobs under the selected folder hierarchy are displayed.

The following job information is displayed:

Job/Destination/Package

Displays the job name, host or package on which the job was executed.

Execution date/time

Displays the date and time at which the job was executed.

Result

Displays the execution status of the job.

Scheduled date/time

Displays the date and time on which the job is to be executed.

Execution time limit

Displays a time limit by which a job is to be executed.

Selecting View and then Display Job Detailed Information after selecting a job in the right pane (or double clicking the job) opens the Display Job dialog box.

The Display Job dialog box includes the following items:

Job name

Displays the name of the job.

Date/time items

Displays the information about the date and time specified for the job.

Job execution date/time

Displays the date and time at which a job was executed.

Scheduled job execution

Displays the date and time at which a job is to be executed.

Job execution time limit

Displays a time limit by which a job is to be executed.

Detailed job status

Displays the number of each detailed job status. Total represents the total of the relevant numbers.

(3) Displaying detailed information of all the jobs under a folder hierarchy

To display detailed information of all the jobs under a selected folder hierarchy:

  1. Select View and then All Job Details in the Job Status window.

  2. Select a folder hierarchy in which you want to display the information.

    All the details of the jobs in the selected folder hierarchy is displayed.

The job detailed information as below is displayed.

During remote collection, the path of the files remotely collected (name of the directory in which a file is stored or file name) is displayed in the job details. To recover an archived file, check the file path and then use the unarchiver.

Job/Destination/Package

Displays the job name, or host or package that the job is targeted.

Destination

Displays the name of the host that the job is targeted.

Package

Displays the name of the package that the job is targeted.

Package ID

Displays the name of the package ID that the job is targeting.

Version

Displays the component version of the package that the job is targeting.

Generation

Displays the generation number of the package that the job is targeting.

Execution date/time

Displays the date and time at which the job was executed.

Result

Displays the execution status of the job.

Installation timing

Displays the timing when the package is to be installed.

On top of the above items, you can also display more detailed information such as package details, the cause of the job error, and maintenance code. To do so, take the following steps:

  1. Select View and then Display Job Detailed Information after selecting a job details in the right pane (or double click the job details).

    The Detailed Information dialog box appears.

Package information

Displays the package-related information including the package name, package ID, and package storage limit.

Details

Displays the job-related information such as job type, job execution route, and maintenance code. The Description field also gives information such as the cause of a job error.

Note that when UNIX is displayed in Error function, the number displayed in Error reason is the message ID posted by the UNIX version or Mac version of JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Agent.

Split distribution information

This section is activated in the case of a split distribution package. This section displays the package split size, transfer interval, and split distribution status.

The split distribution status is shown in transferred size/total size (in the units of kilobytes).

The transferred size will be reset to 0 and starts again every time the job passes a relay system.

(4) Selecting displayed date/time items

To specify a date/time item to be displayed:

  1. Select View and then Set Display in the Job Status window.

    The Set Display dialog box appears.

    This dialog box has the following items:

    Display date/time of the job in the Job Status window

    Specify a date/time item to display. An item whose check box is selected is displayed.

    Scheduled date/time

    Displays the date and time when the job is to be executed.

    Execution time limit

    Displays the time limit by when the job must be executed.

    Execution date/time

    Displays the date and time when the job was executed.

    Scheduled installation date/time

    Displays the date and time when the package is to be installed.

    Display system information as a comment about the destination client in the Job Status window

    You can select this option if you want to display information other than the key items about job destination. The item set as a key item is grayed out. Specifiable value is Subkey, Host ID, or Comment.

  2. Select one or more items you want to display, and click the OK button.

    The specified items will be displayed.

(5) Sorting the information by specifying a condition

The order of the information displayed in the right pane of the Job Status window can be sorted by specifying a condition. The list of job statuses can be sorted based on the job execute date/time or destination name, so that you can check the execution statues more easily.

To sort information:

  1. Select View and then Arrange in the Job Status window.

    The Sort Order dialog box appears. Specify the sort order in this dialog box and click the OK button. The order of the information displayed in the right pane of the Job Status window is changed.

    Priority

    Specifies a sort key (reference item).

    A sort operation is first performed based on the 1st priority key. If there are multiple items with the same order after the sort, they are sorted with the 2nd priority key. If there are still multiple items with the same order after the sort, they are sorted with the 3rd priority key.

    If you do not specify any key, select None.

    Sort with unexecuted jobs at top

    Use this option to select if unexecuted jobs are displayed at the top or bottom of the list. By default, unexecuted jobs are displayed at the top of the list. Clear this check box to display them at the bottom of the list.

(6) Displaying a job that is being deleted

When you have deleted a job in the Job Status window, you can leave the deleted job displayed until the job is deleted from the relay system, management relay server, or managed computer that is the transfer destination. A job which has not been deleted yet is displayed with (Now being deleted), and the job disappears after it is deleted from the entire system. However, to check whether the job was deleted before it was executed on the relay system, management relay server, or managed computer, use information about the packages installed on the agent.

To display a job being deleted:

  1. In the Job Status window, select View and then Jobs Being Deleted.

    (Now being deleted) is displayed at the end of the name of a job that has not finished being deleted on a relay system, management relay server, or managed computer. Finished/Errors/Total displays the total number of jobs that are being deleted.
