5.2.1 Method of creating host groups
You can use the methods below to create host groups. Use the method that is appropriate for the characteristics of the host group you are creating.
- Create host groups using system configuration information

This method involves outputting system configuration information to a text file, editing the file to create host groups, and then importing the file in the Destination window. This method is useful when you want to create host groups that reflect the physical network configuration.

- Create host groups using on-screen operations in the Destination window

This method involves creating host groups directly in the Destination window. This method is useful when you want to create host groups that are not tied to the network configuration, or change the parameters of an existing host group.

- Creating host groups automatically according to preset conditions (policies)

In this method, new or moved hosts are assigned automatically to host groups based on preset grouping conditions (policies). For details, see 6.2 Automatic maintenance of destination group.
