5.2.4 Creating host groups in the Destination window

After creating host groups, you can register hosts (relay systems and agents) in those groups.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Procedure for creating host groups

The procedure for creating a host group is shown below. Although you can create host groups under other host groups, you cannot give a host group the same name as a host group that is above it in the hierarchy. You can create a maximum of seven tiers of host groups.

  1. Make the Destination window the active window, and click the position in the hierarchy where you want to create a host group.

You can now create a host group under the selected hierarchical level.

  2. From the File menu, select Create Host Group.

The Create Host Group dialog box appears.

The host group is created. To exit the Create Host Group dialog box without creating a host group, click Exit.
