List of definition files

The definition files used by Performance Management can be divided into the definition files for PFM - Manager and PFM - Base and the definition files for PFM - Web Console.

Detailed descriptions of each definition file are presented in alphabetical order in the sections below.

Description

Service automatic start script file (jpc_start)

This is the script file for automatically starting all Performance Management services other than PFM - Web Console.

Service automatic stop script file (jpc_stop)

This is the script file for automatically stopping all Performance Management services other than PFM - Web Console.

Auto alarm bind setting file (jpcautobind.cfg)

This is the file, which is used with Performance Management, for defining the agents and alarm tables to which to apply the auto alarm bind setting.

Startup information file (jpccomm.ini)

This is the definition file for configuring the behavior of Performance Management.

Host information configuration file (jpchosts)

This is the file for defining Performance Management-specific host information.

Store service startup information file (jpcsto.ini)

This is the definition file for configuring the behavior of the Master Store service.

View Server service startup information file (jpcvsvr.ini)

This is the definition file for configuring the behavior of the View Server service.

Definition file for JP1/SLM-linkage custom monitoring items (monitoringitems.cfg)

This is the file for defining record fields as monitoring items in a JP1/SLM linkage environment.

List of PFM - Web Console definition files

Initialization file (config.xml)

This is the file for setting the PFM - Web Console operating environment.

Web Server configuration file (httpsd.conf)

This is the file for setting the HTTP Server operating environment.

Service automatic start script file (jpcw_start)

This is the script file for automatically starting all PFM - Web Console services on the physical host when UNIX starts.

Service automatic stop script file (jpcw_stop)

This is the script file for automatically stopping all PFM - Web Console services on the physical host when UNIX stops.

Option definition file (usrconf.cfg)

This is the file for setting the JavaVM startup options. It defines the language settings used by PFM - Web Console and the maximum amount of memory to be used.

User properties file (usrconf.properties)

This is the file for setting port numbers used for PFM - Web Console and others.

System property file for server management commands (usrconf.properties)

This is the file for setting port numbers used for server management commands of PFM - Web Console.

Worker definition file (workers.properties)

This is the file for setting the port numbers to be used when Web Service services connect to and communicate with Web Console services.

The following tables describe the definition files referenced by the JP1/PFM plug-in running on JP1/IM2 and the definition file required for using the suggestion function of JP1/IM2 when linkage is established with JP1/IM2.

Metric definition file (metrics_product-ID.conf)

By editing this file, you can add, edit, or delete the metrics to be used in JP1/IM2 when linkage is established with JP1/IM2 version 12-10 or later.

JP1/PFM plug-in configuration file (settings.conf)

By using this file, you can set the behavior of the JP1/PFM plug-in when linkage is established with JP1/IM2 version 12-10 or later.

Suggestion definition file (imdd_suggestion_arbitrary-character-string.conf)

By using this file, you can define suggestion information (suggestion display criteria, suggestion activation criteria, and response actions) of the Performance Management system used in JP1/IM2 when linkage is established with JP1/IM2 version 12-50 or later.
