1.9 Users window

The Users window is used to manage the Performance Management users. It enables you to create user accounts and to change account information. To display this window, in the navigation frame of any PFM - Web Console window, choose the Users tab.

Only a login user with the administrator user permission can display this window.

The following figure shows the Users window for PFM - Web Console.

The following describes the displayed items:

Menu bar frame

Displays a menu that is common to all windows.

For details, see the description of the menu bar frame in 1.3 Main window.

Navigation frame

Displays hierarchically the user accounts registered as Performance Management users.

Except for the following items, the display items are the same as the items in the navigation frame of the Main window. For details, see 1.3 Main window.

Users tree

The root is Users. The second level contains the Management users, Ordinary users, and Business group ordinary users folders. The Business group ordinary users folder is displayed when the business group access control functionality is enabled.

  • Management users

    This folder manages user accounts that have been registered as Performance Management users. When the Management users folder is expanded, the user accounts with administrator user permissions are displayed.

    The Management users folder cannot be changed.

  • Ordinary users

    This folder manages user accounts that have been registered as Performance Management users. When the Ordinary users folder is expanded, the user accounts with the general user permissions are displayed.

    The Ordinary users folder cannot be changed.

  • Business group ordinary users

    This folder manages the user accounts registered as Performance Management users. When the Business group ordinary users folder is expanded, the Business group ordinary users user accounts are displayed.

    You cannot change the Business group ordinary users folder.

User account name

This is a user account that has been registered as a Performance Management user. It displays the user name in Performance Management. When a user account name is selected, a check mark appears.

Icons

An icon is displayed to the left of each component of the Users tree. For details about icons, see Table 1-10 Configuration component icons and their meaning.

These icons have the following meaning:

[Figure]: Indicates the root.

[Figure]: Indicates a user folder.

[Figure]: Indicates a user.

Method frame

Displays the operations that can be executed on the users tree. The operation items that are displayed depend on the selected object.

New User

Creates a new user account. Choosing this item displays the New User window.

Copy

Copies an existing user account. Selecting this item displays the Copy window. To execute this operation, you must select a target user account in the navigation frame.

Edit

Edits existing user account information. Choosing this item displays the Edit window. The user account information that can be edited includes the password and the user permissions. To execute this operation, you must select a target user account in the navigation frame.

Delete

Deletes an existing user account. When this item is selected, a message box for confirming the deletion intention is displayed. To execute this operation, you must select a target user account in the navigation frame.

Information frame

Displays the results of the operation selected in the method frame.
