1.4.17 Alarm Application Status window

The Alarm Application Status window is for checking the status of whether alarm information is applied (henceforth, this status is called the alarm application status). From this window, you can also re-apply alarm information that has not finished being applied. To display this window, click the message in the navigation frame in the Agents tree window, or choose the Alarm Application Status method in the method frame.

The Alarm Application Status window has the following three tabs:

Each tab window includes the following common items:

Refresh

Refreshes the Alarm Application Status window.

Close

Closes the Alarm Application Status window.

Text display area

Indicates whether there are services waiting for alarm information to be applied. If there are, the remaining number is also displayed.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Application Status (number-of-services) tab

This tab displays the services, and their hosts, whose alarm application status is Waiting, Failed, or Uncertain. The number of such services is indicated in parentheses in the name of the tab. The following figure shows the Alarm Application Status window (Application Status tab).

The following describes the displayed items:

Open All button

Displays all the services.

Close All button

Hides all the services.

Apply to All button

Applies alarm information to services whose application status is Failed or Uncertain. If you click OK in the confirmation dialog box, the Alarm Application Status > Application processing acceptance results window is displayed.

This button is deactivated in the following circumstances:

  • There are no services whose application status is Failed or Uncertain.

  • The connected PFM - Manager is the secondary PFM - Manager host.

Failed-status services (number-of-services)

Displays the number of services whose alarm application status is Failed. Click this line to expand or close the relevant services and hosts.

Uncertain-status services (number-of-services)

Displays the number of services whose alarm application status is Uncertain. Click this line to expand or close the relevant services and hosts.

Waiting-status services (number-of-services)

Displays the number of services whose alarm application status is Waiting. Click this line to expand or close the relevant services and hosts.

Apply button

Applies alarm information to the services in each alarm application status. If you click OK in the confirmation dialog box, the Alarm Application Status > Application processing acceptance results window is displayed.

This button is deactivated in the following circumstances:

  • There are no services whose application status is Failed or Uncertain.

  • The connected PFM - Manager is the secondary PFM - Manager host.

(2) Incompatible (number-of-services) tab

This tab displays the services, and their hosts, whose alarm application status is Incompatible. The number of such services is indicated in parentheses in the name of the tab. The following figure shows the Alarm Application Status window (Incompatible tab).

(3) Inactive (number-of-services) tab

This tab displays the services, and their hosts, whose alarm application status is Inactive. The number of such services is indicated in parentheses in the name of the tab. The following figure shows the Alarm Application Status window (Inactive tab).

(4) Alarm Application Status > Application processing acceptance results window

This window is displayed when you click the Apply or Apply to All button in the Alarm Application Status window (Application Status (number-of-services) tab). It allows you to confirm that the processing to apply alarm information has been accepted. Click the Close button to close the Alarm Application Status window. The following figure shows the Alarm Application Status > Application processing acceptance results window.
