The following describes the items displayed on the Column Item tab:

Basic style

Select Monthly, Daily, or List. Any settings you have entered are discarded if you change this setting while in the process of editing a format definition. The default is List.

Column items list

This area lists the column items available with the basic style you selected.

Selected items list

Specify the column items to include in the document, and define the order in which you want them to appear. You can add and remove column items by using the Add and Delete buttons. Use the Up and Down buttons to change the order.

Add

Adds the column item selected in the column items list. Items are added to the bottom of the selected items list. If the basic style is Daily or Monthly, you can add one column item. If the basic style is List, you can add a maximum of 30 items.

Delete

Removes the column item selected in the selected items list.

Up

Moves the selected column item up by one position in the list.

Down

Moves the selected column item down by one position in the list.

Detail of column item

Select the format in which to display the data for column items.

  • For items in List style

    Select Sign or Description.

  • For items in Monthly Schedule

Select Sign, Sign(Time), or Sign(Day Time).

  • For items in Monthly Result

    Select Sign, Sign(Time), (Time)Detail, Sign(Day Time), or (Day Time)Detail.

  • For items in Daily Schedule

    Select Sign or Sign(Time).

  • For items in Daily Result

    Select Sign, Sign(Time), or (Time)Detail.

Column width

Specify the maximum width of column items in list style documents (as a number of characters). If you select Auto, the column is sized to fit the largest value of the column item. If you select Fixed, you can specify the column width as a value from 10 to 80.

Selecting Auto can result in excessively wide columns when displaying full unit paths. For this reason, we recommend that you select Fixed.

Base time

Specify the base time to use for monthly and daily reports. In most circumstances, this will be the same base time as JP1/AJS.

Specify an hour from 0 to 23 in the left field, and minutes from 0 to 59 in the right field.

In monthly documents, the base time serves as the boundary between columns.

Example: If the base time is 8:45, the column for the first day of the month displays information for the time period from 8:45 on the first day to 8:44:59 on the second day.

In daily documents, the 0 minute mark serves as the column boundary. However, one of the columns in which the base time occurs has an internal boundary at the base time.

Example: If the base time is 8:45 based on the 24-hour display system#, column 0 displays information for the time period from 0:00:00 to 0:59:59. Column 8 displays information for the time period from 8:45:00 to 8:59:59 of the displayed day, and 8:00:00 to 8:44:59 of the following day.

In addition, if the base time is 8:45 based on the 48-hour display system#, two columns 0 display information for the time period from 0:00:00 to 0:59:59. The first column 8 displays information for the time period from 8:45:00 to 8:59:59 of the displayed day, and 8:00:00 to 8:44:59 two days later, while the second column 8 displays information for the time period from 8:00:00 to 8:59:59 of the following day.

#

You can specify the 24-hour display system or 48-hour display system in the Environment Settings window. For details on the settings, see 7.19.3 Displayed items of the View Settings tab.

Set base time indicates the time at which a day starts

Specify whether to start daily documents at the base time.

24-hour display system#

When you select this check box, a daily report shows data for 24 hours from the base time (column names start from the specified time on the day for which the document is being displayed, and end at the specified time on the following day).

If you clear this check box, a daily report shows data for 24 hours starting from midnight (column names are fixed as 0 to 23).

48-hour display system#

When you select this check box, a daily report shows data for 48 hours from the base time (dated column names start from the specified time on the day for which the document is being displayed, and end at the specified time two days later).

If you clear this check box, a daily report shows data for 48 hours starting from midnight (dated column names are fixed as 0 to 23).

#

You can specify the 24-hour display system or 48-hour display system in the Environment Settings window. For details on the settings, see 7.19.3 Displayed items of the View Settings tab.
