6.9 How to analyze the usage of Operational Content

You can use the reporting window to check the results of analyzing the usage of Operational Content. To display the reporting window, Content Manager permission or a higher permission is required.

In the reporting window, for example, you can understand the average operation time of Operational Content, or the number of times a Process Node is executed. Such information is useful for you to improve the Operational Content.

For examples of using the reporting window to improve Operational Content, see 6.9.6 Examples of analyzing the usage of Operational Content.

Tip
  • Before you can check the usage analysis results by using the reporting window, make sure that the Operational Flow ends with a Terminal Node.

The reporting window displays the results of automatically collecting and analyzing the historical records on the operations from the start to end of Operational Content. During analysis, transition of operations up to the ending Terminal Node is assumed to be completion of the operations. Therefore, for Operational Content in which the ending Terminal Node does not exist, completion is not assumed. As a result, the usage of the Operational Content will not be applied correctly to the reporting window.

  • The reporting window is automatically refreshed once a day. Therefore, the operations performed most recently might not be applied to the reporting window.

  • If 24 hours elapse from the last previously performed operation to completion of Operational Content, the status of the Operational Content is not subject to analysis. Note that the time period during which processing is suspended by using the Suspend/Resume function is not included in the 24-hour limit.

Important
  • If the Suspend/Resume function is used, the user-based execution status might not be based on the actual operations. This is because the analysis used for the reporting window assumes that the user does not change from the start to end of Operational Content. If the Suspend/Resume function is used, although the user might change before the Operational Content is completed, the analysis assumes that the same user performed all operations.

  • Either of the following is determined as the target of analysis displayed in the reporting window, according to the setting specified during system creation:

    - Only the Operational Content version displayed in the Operational Content Execution Window

    - The Operational Content version displayed in the Operational Content Execution Window and previous versions of the Operational Content
