6.8.1 Updating Operational Content

When the updating of published Operational Content starts, a copy of the Operational Content is created. This copy is called the Version Being Edited.

When you start updating the Version Being Edited, it is locked so that other users cannot edit it.

The following shows the procedure for updating Operational Content. Note that the Content Manager must perform step 9.

  1. In the menu area of the Operational Content Editing Window, click and display the piece of Operational Content to be updated.

  2. On the toolbar, click the [Figure] button (Start Editing button).

    The Version Being Edited is created. You can use this version to edit the target piece of Operational Content.

  3. Edit the piece of Operational Content. If necessary, see the following sections:

  4. When the editing finishes, click the [Figure] button (Save button) on the toolbar.

  5. Click the [Figure] button (Finish Editing button) on the toolbar.

    The Enter Comments window appears.

  6. In the Comments text box, enter a comment.

  7. In the Enter Comments window, click the Finish Editing button.

    The changes are committed, and the Version Being Edited is unlocked.

  8. If necessary, rename the piece of Operational Content. For details about the procedure, see 6.8.2 Renaming a piece of Operational Content.

  9. Publish the updated Operational Content.
