JP1 Version 12 JP1/Navigation Platform Setup and Operations Guide

6.3.3 Notes about setting access permissions (when using JP1/Base for user authentication)

If you register a user into multiple different JP1 resource groups and assign different JP1 permission levels to that user by means of these JP1 resource groups, the highest JP1 permission level takes effect for that user. Therefore, special attention is required if you will be setting multiple JP1 resource groups for the same Operational Content. The following shows an example:

[Figure]

User1 is assigned the JP1 permission level of user by JP1 resource group A and the JP1 permission level of editor by JP1 resource group B. If JP1 resource groups A and B are both set for the same Operational Content, only the definition of JP1 resource group B that contains the higher JP1 permission level takes effect. Therefore, User1 can use the Operational Content as a Content Editor.
