The following shows the Access Permissions window that is displayed when an access permission group is selected.

Figure 6‒3: Access Permissions window

[Figure]

The Access Permissions window consists of the Access Permission Groups area on the left and the Edit Access Permission Groups on the right. The following explains the items displayed in each of these areas.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Add menu

When this menu is selected, the Edit Access Permission Groups area is displayed in the area on the right side of the Access Permissions window. If you specify the name of an access permission group and a user that you want to add and then click the OK button, the specified access permission group is displayed in the Access Permission Groups area.

(2) Delete menu

When this menu is selected, the access permission groups whose check boxes are selected are deleted. When no check box is selected, the Delete menu is disabled and cannot be selected.

(3) Close menu

When this menu is clicked, the Access Permissions window closes. Any change that has not been saved by clicking the OK button will be discarded.

(4) Access permission group name

The access permission group names that have been saved are displayed with check boxes. If you click the name part, the Edit Access Permission Groups window is displayed in the Edit Access Permission Groups area, so that you can change the access permission group settings.

The default access permission group Standard access permissions is always displayed even when no access permission group has been created.

(5) Access permission group name text box

This text box is used to enter or change access permission group names. An access permission group name cannot be omitted. Make sure that you enter a character string of up to 255 bytes. This character string cannot contain control characters (ASCII codes 0x00 to 0x1F and 0x7F). This cannot be the name of an existing access permission group.

(6) Role drop-down list

Select the access permission that you want to set. Select Administrator, Editor, or User. If you click the question mark (?) displayed to the right of the drop-down list, a list of operations that can be performed by each role and an example definition of the access permission group are displayed in separate windows.

(7) Target drop-down list

Select the target of the access permission. You can select User, Group, or All.

(8) ID text box

Enter the ID for which the access permission is to be set. If you have selected User or Group from the Role drop-down list, you cannot omit an ID.

(9) Add button

When this button is clicked, the specified access permission is added to Users and Groups and Add User or Group is reset to its default status.

(10) Users and Groups

The users and groups for which access permissions have been defined are displayed.

(11) Delete button

When this button is clicked, the user or group for which access permissions have been defined is deleted.

(12) OK button

When this button is clicked, the changes made in the Edit Access Permission Groups area are saved. If you changed the contents of the Access permission group name text box, the new name is displayed in the Access Permission Groups area.

(13) Cancel button

When this button is clicked, changes made in the Edit Access Permission Groups area are discarded and the information displayed in the area is erased.
