4.8 General procedure after setup

The tasks that are required after setup has been completed are different for each environment, as indicated below.

For details about the tasks that are required up to the point when you start using Navigation Platform, see 6.1 Tasks required from creation to use of Operational Contents.

Tasks after setting up the editing environment

The following tasks must be performed as preparations in order to begin creating Operational Contents.

  1. Enter the URL to access the Navigation Platform window in your web browser.

  2. Log in using a system administrator ID (default: user1).

  3. If you are using Active Directory for user authentication, create access permission groups and assign the Content Manager and Content Editor roles (access permissions) to the other users.

  4. If you are using JP1/Base for user authentication, contact the JP1 administrator and verify that the JP1 permission levels corresponding to the Content Manager, Content Creator and Content Editor roles have been set for the other users.

Tasks after setting up the execution environment

The following tasks must be performed as preparations in order to begin publishing and using Operational Contents.

  1. Import the Operational Contents from the editing environment.

  2. If necessary, review the development environment and apply settings such as the J2EE server memory setting to the execution environment.

  3. Enter the URL to access the Navigation Platform window in your web browser.

  4. Log in using any user ID and check whether the imported Operational Contents appear and work correctly.

Tasks after setting up the development environment

If you want to associate plugins in the development environment, the following tasks must be performed as preparations.

  1. Import the Operational Contents from the editing environment.

  2. Enter the URL to access the Navigation Platform window in your web browser.

  3. Log in using a system administrator ID (default: user1).
