3.8.1 Uninstalling Navigation Platform using the Windows uninstall function
The following is the procedure for uninstalling Navigation Platform from Programs and Features in the Windows Control Panel.

Perform the unsetup procedure, or stop the service.
- If setup has been completed

Perform the unsetup procedure for Navigation Platform as instructed in 4.7 Unsetup procedure.
- If setup has not been completed

Stop the Navigation Platform DataBase service.

Select Programs and Features from the Windows Control Panel.

Select Navigation Platform - Server and remove it.
Do not select the program indicted below.

Depending on the program, a dialog box might appear requesting confirmation that you want to remove (uninstall). Select Yes. If you accidentally select No, you will need to restart step 3.
- Point to note after completing uninstallation

Once uninstallation has been completed, shut down or restart the OS without logging off. If you log out from the OS after completing an uninstallation, an error dialog box might appear the next time you log in. However, even if the error dialog box appears, it will not cause any problems in the operation of the OS.
