2.4.4 Definition examples (Measurement of IE scenarios)

This section explains the definitions when you measure IE scenarios on the sites with the dynamic session management. PFM - Web Console is taken for example as the sites with the dynamic session management.

To use the IE Recorder, you can create the IE scenario without considering the dynamically changing session IDs.

Suppose that you record the following series of procedures in PFM - Web Console as an IE scenario:

  1. Logging on to PFM - Web Console

  2. Operations by using the PFM - Web Console (Displaying reports)

  3. Logging off from PFM - Web Console

The following describes the overview of the procedures to measure this IE scenario correctly:

  1. Record IE scenarios

Use the IE Recorder to record IE scenarios.

  2. Test IE scenarios

Check whether the recorded IE scenarios are replayed correctly.

  3. Register measurement conditions

Register the recorded IE scenarios in the measurement condition registration file.

  4. IE scenario operation check

Check whether the IE scenarios are measured correctly.

You can operate the procedures 1 to 3 listed above on the IE Recorder.

The following subsections describe the details of the procedures:

Reference note:

You can operate the IE Recorder using the buttons on the toolbar as well as the commands in the menu bar. For details about the toolbar buttons of the IE Recorder (main) window, see 7.3.1 IE Recorder (main) window.
