3.6 Notes on using JP1/AJS3 - Print Option with antivirus software

Some antivirus software might place an exclusive lock on a file or folder used by JP1/AJS3 - Print Option. This can cause issues like the following:

If your antivirus software scans for viruses while JP1/AJS3 - Print Option is running, exclude the following files and folders from scanning. If you conduct a virus scan while JP1/AJS3 - Print Option is stopped, make sure scanning of the following files and folders has finished before you start JP1/AJS3 - Print Option.

In Windows
  • Log files and folders for JP1/AJS3 - Print Option

  • Output folders specified in an argument of the jprcollect command, and in the Collecting Job Operation Information window

  • Output folders specified in the Collecting Job Operation Information window

  • Output folder for Map Output files

  • Output folder for Jobnet Flow Output files

  • Output folder for Map PDF Output files

  • Output folder for Jobnet Flow PDF Output files

In UNIX

If you intend to use the data collection tool (PO_ras.bat and POM_ras.bat in Windows, and POM_ras.sh in UNIX) while a virus scan is in progress, exclude the following files and folders from scanning, in addition to those listed above.
