8.1 Registering users in JP1/AO

The following describes how to register a user so that the user can use JP1/AO.

Who can perform this task:

Users with User Management permission

To register a user in JP1/AO:

  1. In the left pane of the Administration window, click Users and Permissions.

  2. In the left pane of the Users and Permissions window, select Users.

  3. In the right pane of the Users and Permissions window (User List view), click the Add User button.

  4. In the Add User dialog box (Users and Permissions), enter a user ID.

    You can also enter a password, confirm the password, enter a full name, email address, and description of the user as needed.

  5. Click the OK button.

The new user appears in the list of users in the User List view.

Important note
  • Users in JP1/AO needed to be added to user groups, which in turn need to be allocated resource groups and roles.

  • As the user authentication method, LDAP is set when Active Directory linkage is set for JP1/AO. If LDAP is not set, Internal is set by default.

    You can change the user authentication method in the Change Authentication Method dialog box.
