Appendix H. Migrating from Developer Version 8 (When Migrating from WTP)

This appendix describes the procedure for migrating the WTP projects created in WTP Developer Version 8 to WTP Developer Version 9. For the items to be considered during the version upgrade, see Appendix I.1 Notes for version upgrade.

Organization of this section: (1) Operations required when using a workspace created in Developer Version 8; (2) Operations required in the WTP environment before migration; (3) Operations required in the WTP environment after migration

(1) Operations required when using a workspace created in Developer Version 8

Execute the following operations when you are using a workspace created in Developer Version 8.

Delete the Cosminexus J2EE server runtime and then create the server once again.
Delete the Developer JDK that is already set on the Installed JRE page in the Setup dialog box, and then add Developer JDK once again.

(2) Operations required in the WTP environment before migration

The following is the procedure for export. The WTP projects can also be exported by using the WTP functionality.

From the Eclipse menu bar, choose File, and then Export.
The Export dialog box appears.
Select General, Archive File, and then click the Next button
The Archive File page appears.
Select the resources to be exported and then output the archive file.

(3) Operations required in the WTP environment after migration

To import:

From the Eclipse menu bar, choose File, and then Import.
The Import dialog box appears.
Choose General, Move Existing Project to Workspace, and then click the Next button.
The project is imported to the Import Project page.
Specify Cosminexus J2EE server runtime as the target runtime of the project.
If the Cosminexus J2EE server runtime does not exist, create it. For details on creating a server runtime, see 4.3 Creating server runtime.
If the Cosminexus J2EE server runtime already exists, select the project, and from the menu select Project, and then Property. Select Target Runtime in the Property dialog box, select the Cosminexus J2EE server runtime, and then click the OK button.
