6.5.4 Exporting the user extended performance analysis trace setup file

You export the created or edited user extended performance analysis trace setup file and allocate the file to the execution environment.

The procedure for exporting the file is as follows:

  • When you export the user extended performance analysis trace setup file, the linefeed code depends on the Eclipse settings. To export the linefeed code using LF (Unix format), change the settings before you export the code. The procedure for changing the linefeed code settings are as follows:
    1. From the Eclipse menu, choose Windows, and then Preferences.
    2. In the Settings dialog box, go to General, Workspace, New text line delimiter, Other, and then select Unix.

  1. From the Eclipse menu, select File, and then Export.
    The Export dialog box appears.

  2. Select User Extended Performance Analysis Trace and User Extended Performance Analysis Trace Setting File, and then click the Next button.
    The Export User Extended Performance Analysis Trace Settings File dialog box appears.

    You can also display the Export User Extended Performance Analysis Trace Settings File dialog box as follows:
    • On the view tool bar of the Trace Collection Points view, click the Export User Extended Performance Analysis Trace Setting File button.
    • In the pull-down menu of the Trace Collection Points view, choose Export User Extended Performance Analysis Trace Setting File.
  3. From among the trace collection points displayed in Trace Collection Points, select the points you want to export.
  4. In the Destination file, specify the path of the user extended performance analysis trace setup file to be exported.
    You can also select the file from the Open dialog box displayed with the Browse button.
    If you select the Overwrite the existing file without warning checkbox, and if there is a file with the same file name in the specified path, the file is overwritten without displaying any warning.
  5. Click the Finish button.
    The specified user extended performance analysis trace setting file is exported.
    Allocate the exported file to the execution environment.
