6.5.5 Setting up the user extended performance analysis trace

To use the user extended performance analysis trace, you must specify the settings for using the trace based performance analysis, and the settings for using the user extended performance analysis trace.

The following is a description of the respective settings:

To use the user extended performance analysis trace, you must specify the settings required for using the user extended performance analysis trace. The items that must be set up for using the user extended performance analysis trace, the definition file to be edited, and the reference location of the parameters are as follows:

  • Management Server
  • Performance tracer
Definition file to be edited and parameters to be specified

The items that must be set up for using the user extended performance analysis trace, the definition file to be edited, and the reference location of the parameters are as follows:

  • JavaVM invocation parameter of the J2EE server
Definition file to be edited and parameters to be specified

See the description related to the J2EE server settings 7.5.2 Settings for using the user extended performance analysis trace in the manual uCosminexus Application Server Maintenance and Migration Guide and set up the required parameters in the extended invocation parameters using the management portal window.
Also, in the management portal window, select Yes for Use the user extended performance analysis trace, and do not specify the item Contents of the user extended performance analysis trace setting file.
To use a user extended performance analysis trace setting file created with Developer, setting up the jvm.userprf.ExtendedSetting parameter is a prerequisite.
Also, specify the file path of the user extended performance analysis trace setting file in the jvm.userprf.File parameter.
An example setup of the extended invocation parameter is as follows:
-Djvm.userprf.ExtendedSetting=true
-Djvm.userprf.File=Product-installation-directory/CC/server/usrconf/ejb/real-server-name/userprf.cfg
