11.7.2 Checking the hardware status of a client

You can check the hard disk and memory sizes and their current usage conditions on the System Conditions page.

Use the client's system monitoring to display information on the System Conditions page. If the system monitoring is stopped, a message is displayed indicating that information cannot be collected.

The following figure shows the System Conditions page.

Figure 11-21 System Conditions page

[Figure]

On the System Conditions page, you can check the following types of information about the hard disk and memory:

When the amount of hard disk or memory used exceeds a preset threshold, a warning symbol appears to the left of the item name. For example, in Figure 11-21, a warning symbol ([Figure]) is displayed about the amount of hard disk space used.

Displaying a warning symbol is one of the methods of issuing an alert. The condition for issuing an alert is determined by the setting for system monitoring. For details about the system monitoring, see 11.8 Reporting an alert based on system monitoring. For the relationship between system monitoring and the System Conditions page, see 11.8.4(1) Displaying usage status on the System Conditions page of Local System Viewer.
