8.4.8 Displaying the detailed information of a destination

You can easily display the inventory information of the host you specified in the Job Status window. You can then display the name of the user of the client in which an error occurred and the corresponding telephone number, for example, and contact that user, or check the system information such as OS and memory size.

Using Inventory Viewer, you can also save in a display template the items you want to display often, such as name, telephone number, OS, memory size, etc. With this template, you can easily display the inventory information at the destination. For details about how to create a display template using Inventory Viewer, see 4.3 Displaying inventory information and 4.4 Using templates.

You cannot display the inventory information of a host from which a job is being deleted. Also, if you specified a job destination using one of the methods listed below, you cannot display the inventory information of a host that has a host ID.

To display the inventory information of a specified host in the Job Status window:

  1. In the Job Status window, from the View menu, choose Specified Information Only.
  2. Select the host for which inventory information is to be displayed.

  3. Right-click on the host, and from the menu that is displayed, choose Display Detailed Information of Destination, and then Specify Template and Execute.
The submenu shows the template names that have been created with Inventory Viewer.
  4. From the Specify Template and Execute submenu, select a template.
Inventory Viewer starts and displays the information on the specified host according to the template settings.

You can also select Execute from Condition Settings instead of Specify Template and Execute, specify display items according to the View wizard, and then display the host's inventory information. For details about how to set display conditions using the View wizard, see 4.3 Displaying inventory information.
