This page is displayed when you are packaging JP1/Software Distribution Client (client). You use this page to designate program components whose installation is not needed, so that packaging for those components is not performed. This reduces the volume of unnecessary package components. You designate unwanted components by unselecting their check boxes.

You can remotely install the following components in JP1/Software Distribution Client (client):

• Client
• Packager
• Remote Control Agent
• Online help

You should note the following points about performing remote installation of a package with selected components.

• When you create an upgrade package and there is a mismatch between the packaged components and the already-installed components, only matching components are upgraded.
• You cannot remotely install the package on a PC in which Startup Kit Support Tool is installed. If Automatic Installation Tool is installed on the PC, Automatic Installation Tool is not overwritten. Therefore, you must manually install Startup Kit Support Tool and Automatic Installation Tool.
• When versions are not consistent among the installed components, the version of JP1/Software Distribution becomes the version of the most recently installed component.
