3.7.1 Procedures for setting the SSL server certificate

To set the server certificate used in SSL communication:

(1) If you change the contents of the self-signed certificate:

  1. Create a CSR (Certificate Signing Request).
    Create a CSR which includes new content. For details about creating a CSR, see 3.7.3 Creating a Certificate Signing Request.
  2. Re-create a self-signed certificate.
    Create a self-signed certificate, and then overwrite the existing self-signed certificate. For details about creating a self-signed certificate, see 3.7.4 Creating a self-signed certificate.
  3. Restart JP1/AJS3 WOA HTTP Server.

(2) If you use a certificate issued by a CA (Certificate Authority)

  1. Create a CSR and submit it to a CA.
    For details about creating a CSR, see 3.7.3 Creating a Certificate Signing Request
  2. Place the certificate acquired from the CA.
    Place the certificate acquired from the CA in the prescribed location. For details about the location for the certificate, see Appendix A. List of Files and Folders.Since the self-signed certificate generated during installation is placed in the location by default, overwrite it with the certificate you acquired.
  3. Restart JP1/AJS3 WOA HTTP Server..
