5.21 JDBC Resource pane (Configuration tab)
Use the JDBC Resource pane to view a list of all the JDBC resources deployed on the domain. You can also view the information related to the target(s) on which JDBC resource is deployed, perform operations such as enable or disable JDBC resource on target(s), create new JDBC resource, and delete JDBC resource(s).
Pane components
List of pane items
The JDBC Resource pane displays the following dynamic item:
- JDBC Resource count

Displays (within parentheses) the total number of JDBC resources.
The JDBC Resource pane displays the following JDBC Resource items in a tabular format:

Resource Selector |
Displays a check box for each JDBC resource(s) listed in the JNDI Name column. If the header check box of the Resource Selector column is selected or cleared, then all the check boxes of the Resource Selector column are selected or cleared respectively. |

JNDI Name |
Displays the list of JDBC resources (as a link). Click this link to display the general information of the corresponding JDBC resource in the JDBC Resource General tab. By default, this column is sorted in ascending order. |

Description |
Displays the description of the JDBC resource(s) listed in the JNDI Name column. If the description of a JDBC resource is not available, then this display item is blank. This column can be sorted. |

Connection Pool |
Displays the list of JDBC connection pools (as a link). Click this link to display the general information of the corresponding connection pool in the JDBC Connection Pool General tab. This column can be sorted. |

Target |
Displays the information of the target (as a link) on which the resource(s) are enabled. Click this link to display the corresponding JDBC Resource Target tab. The target information is displayed in the "Enabled on count of targets on which resource is enabled of count of targets associated with the resource Target(s)" format. This column can be sorted. |

Enabled |
Displays a check box for the JDBC resource(s) listed in the JNDI Name column. If a JDBC resource is enabled on at least one target, then the corresponding check box is selected. If a JDBC resource is disabled on any of its targets, then the corresponding check box is cleared. To enable a JDBC resource, select the corresponding check box to display the Enable JDBC Resource dialog box, and then click the OK button. To disable a JDBC resource, clear the corresponding check box to display the Disable JDBC Resource dialog box, and then click the OK button. This column can be sorted. |
The JDBC Resource pane displays the following action items:
- Enable All button

To enable the selected JDBC resource on the target(s), click the Enable All button to display the Enable JDBC Resource dialog box, and then click the OK button.
- Disable All button

To disable the selected JDBC resource on the target(s), click the Disable All button to display the Disable JDBC Resource dialog box, and then click the OK button.
- New button

To create a new JDBC resource, click the New button to display the Create New JDBC Resource dialog box, specify the required details, and then click the OK button.
- Delete button

To delete a JDBC resource, click the Delete button to display the Delete JDBC Resource dialog box, and then click the OK button. By default, this button is disabled. To enable this button, select the JDBC resource using the Resource Selector check box.
